Leading up to my junior year of college (technically “junior and a half” after a crazy year of COVID-19, a semester off and a transfer to a new school 700 miles away), I made it a priority to try new things and take advantage of all the opportunities my new college experience had to offer, and I was lucky enough to come across the NSE program! I always knew that I wanted to travel abroad whilst pursuing higher education, and upon discovering NSE, I immediately jumped on board and began the process of choosing where I’d want to study. Initially, I was considering traveling to Canada to do a language study, but decided against it due to my proficiency level and went with something that was much more in my realm weather, scenery and activity wise, St. Thomas, USVI!
In regards to the application process, There were definitely some steps along the way that proved a bit time consuming and difficult, but I was guided through each part and given a lot of support by the NSE team which I’m extremely grateful for! As my exchange is rapidly approaching in August, I feel a concoction of emotions ranging from excited to nervous, and I’ve been preparing myself in every way I can. I’m definitely looking forward to updating this blog and sharing my journey along the way!
